What is kosher?

Kosher – not just belief, but a culture of “pure” enjoyment

“Kosher” covers everything that means unadulterated and pure in the preparation and selection of food and drink. It is no accident that more and more people, particularly nowadays, make a conscious decision in favour of this culture of pure enjoyment. You see, in kosher cuisine, amongst other things, the eating of pork and shellfish is avoided completely; these in particular absorb many toxins. Only sea creatures with fins and scales are allowed as well as pure poultry and the flesh of ruminants with cloven hooves. So the animals do not suffer when being slaughtered, they are killed instantaneously by qualified butchers with just one cut.

The strict separation when preparing and consuming meat vis-à-vis dairy products is not just a religious matter but makes complete sense when looking at the digestibility of the meals.

Thus there are many kosher rules that guarantee a particularly pure taste experience and a very conscious nutrition which is monitored for pureness. And to be “kosher” as a human being too, is a desirable and wonderful notion.
